Hi Calum,Whilst I echo your sentiments, in wishing everyone a Happy July 4th, I have no wish whatsoever to be in Florida right now.We have visited Florida each year, for the last 20 years, but we always go in December, when the temperatures mirror those of our English summer and the humidity diminishes somewhat!!We did venture over in August one year, but I found that to be a killer and not a particularly enjoyable experience. My English niece shares her birthday with the big US celebration and longs to be able to make the trip on this day sometime, just to experience the atmosphere and to say that she was there!!Yvonne
Hi Evonne! Thanks for stopping by. I know what you mean about the heat and humidity in Florida at this time of the year. It makes me start to feel warm just thinking about it! :-) The heat and humidity can be draining to say the least, but the 4th July celebrations are well worth being there for. Hopefully your niece will get her wish sometime. The holiday atmosphere there is something really worth experiencing!
